    #MySundayPhoto – Meeting Baby R

This weeks sunday photo is an extra special one. We went to see T’s sister yesterday who has just given birth to Baby R. Her third boy, our nephew and Spike’s new cousin. This little bundle of joy and cuteness means Spike is no longer the baby in her dads side of the family. But thats ok, because it was love at first mention and she’s been desperate to meet him since she heard there was a baby in her aunty’s tummy. Obviously this isn’t an arty shot. It’s not one to brag about, especially with Spike’s dodgy hair (she styled it herself) but you can see all the love…

    Top 5 instagram photos – June 2018

I really need to start getting better at doing these. I forget and then the next month has gone. But not for June. It might be half way through July but I remembered and I’m gunna post them anyway! Last month was a bit of a hectic one. We did loads, but also not a lot. We had crazy weekends followed by boring weekends and it was nice to sometimes do nothing at all. I enjoyed some quality time with Spike and I think once the start of the month was over and Spike started to be the relaxed and happy daughter I thought I had it was much better.…

    My Sunday Photo – 1st July 2018

Yesterday we spent the day with friends at a beautiful wedding. This unusual British weather we’re having proved to be the perfect backdrop and T managed to capture this stunning image of my girl in the evening sun at around 6:30! I love everything about this photo. She was being super mischievous so has the cutest smile. The lighting was just at the right level and the colours in her dress fit in with the natural setting. It, as I say, isn’t one of my photos but it captures everything I love about my girl and photography. Props to the Mr for getting it when I couldn’t… I was holding…

Top five instagram photos – March 2018

I haven’t shared my top five Instagram posts since last October. Which was so long ago! I love seeing what people loved the most on my Instagram feed each month. Sharing my top five is a great reason to look over the past month and see what I loved about my instagram moments too. March was a fun month with us finally spending a little more time outside than we have done for a while and spending lots of time with family. Spike is really starting to build on certain aspects of her personality and our fifth most liked photo of the month shows the mischievous side of her personality…

Capturing those special moments – Families Online’s #everymomentcounts challenge

As some of you may have noticed on my Instagram feed last week I joined in with a very special campaign for Families Online. This campaign asks families to capture those special moments. To take in the time you get with your family and make it count. After all #everymomentcounts. As part of the campaign we were given a theme for each day between Monday 18th and Sunday 24th September. We were then asked to capture a moment that fit the theme. I joined in excitedly knowing that we were on holiday and I would be capturing the moments as they came anyway. The campaign was easy in most case…

    My Sunday Photo – 13/08/2017

For this weeks My Sunday Photo I wanted to share a perfect capture that my partner got on Monday. We took to Park View Park in Lytham to check it out. We only had an hour spare but it’s definitely a place we’ll be going to lots. The reason I love this picture so much is because it shows how brave Spike is becoming. She had no second thoughts when it came to walking across this bridge at all and loved it. It was probably about 5 1/2 foot off the floor at its highest and was only a thin rope across the bottom! Her concentration face is awesome.…

My top 5 Instagram pictures – June 2017

It seems like no time at all has passed since I uploaded the top 5 Instagram pictures of May 2017! Yet here we are, in July already! I can’t believe how fast this month has gone! With July already pretty booked up too, I reckon we’ll be zooming through the next month too! June wasn’t actually that busy a month for us. We got out and about a little bit, especially when the warm weather hit. However it did see me taking a little time for myself, which shows in these pics! The first pic to share with you today, and the 5th most liked/engaged with on Instagram is this…

My top 5 Instagram pictures – May 2017

It’s June. We’re into the 6th month of the year and me and T survived little monster Spike’s 2nd birthday. We are officially into the terrible twos now with ‘No!” and toddler tantrums a regular occurrence. It also means my Instagram pictures often feature a monster that won’t stay still or pose as I want her too! May was a stressful month in that I didn’t feel organised at all. However it was also a productive month. It saw me visit the BlogOn Conference and meet friends I’ve never met before. Since the conference you may have noticed I’m working on my blog lots more. And I’m trying hard to…

    My Sunday Photo 4/6/2017

Despite it being Spike’s second birthday on Monday just gone, we’ve not had a great week photo wise. She hates having her photo taken at the minute. She barely stands still long enough to get a decent one even when she’s unaware of the camera too! I love this one taken yesterday at one of our mainly local parks. She was scared by the gruffalo but loved the tortoise and just wanted to keep going back to it. Cutie. Photo credit obviously goes to my beautiful boyfriend, T, as I wanted to have a rare pic with our little girl.

My top 5 Instagram pictures – April 2017

Ok, hand’s up… Who stole April? It went by in a flash didn’t it? A flash of laughter, nights away from home and separation anxiety related sleep issues for me and Spike… but never mind! April was incredible for photos and it was possibly my busiest month for Instagram pictures ever!   The month really did fly by. So much so that I think that this first picture can’t have been that long ago. This was taken at Brockholes Nature Reserve over the Easter Weekend. My sister was visiting and Spike had been a nightmare so it got quite late in the day and we were trying to work out what to…
