Our November in pictures

We halve had a few super busy months and not everything is possible to share as one full post. So I thought I might start sharing a monthly round up of what we’ve got up to in photos!

Light up Lancaster

We recently moved to Lancaster and this city is beautiful. One of my favourite things is the Light Up Lancaster event they hold each year over the weekend closest to Bonfire Night.

A chilled weekend of DIY and a quick run to the Trafford Centre

We spent the second Saturday putting some more finishing touches to our new home. With a small new build we’re having to be careful with our space. We added a coat stand and shoe rack to the hallway and a cute little piece of artwork to Spike’s bedroom… Then we headed to the Trafford Centre and of courses had to have a go on the horses.

A child free weekend in the Lakes

Another week of work down and we celebrated in the best way possible – without a child. Spike had been a bit difficult at the start of November and we needed the downtime. We spent the Saturday in the Lakes and it was amazing.

Spike helping out around the house and missing her brother

During the drying up one night Spike asked if she can help. It was so cute and I didn’t want to put her off being so helpful. So even though it took twice as long, she helped! The a couple of nights later she mentioned that she missed her big brother and had drawn him a picture and it was so cute. She cant wait for him to come home from Uni for Christmas.

A busy weekend of new beds, lanterns and Frozen 2

We couldn’t let the release of Frozen 2 go by without heading to our local cinema to see it. But first, we had to get Spike’s new bed built, grab some tea at Nandos and go and see some beautiful lanterns in Heaton Park. Head over to Chilling With Lucas’ blog to read about them in more detail!

And finally, swimming certificates and Christmas Market fun

On the final weekend Spike got a certificate at swimming! She’s come on so well in the 3 months shes been doing it so I am so proud! Plus, I got an evening to myself with some friends. We hit the markets in Manchester and I sampled Cherry and Amaretto Mulled Wine (beautiful by the way) and caught up with my mummy friends without the kids!
