I love getting new slippers. They usually have to be chosen by me, but even so, I love getting them as a gift at Christmas from loved ones. This year I am in desperate need of slippers on the grounds that my current pair have fallen apart and I’ve fallen on the stairs not once, not twice but three times… in the past 2 weeks. All because of them. So I decided I’d write a little Christmas gift guide for those of you looking for new slippers!
I’ve been on the hunt for new ones, and I thought I’d share my top 5 with you all in case you are looking for hints to drop to loved ones, or you are looking for a gift for your female partner!
First up are these beautiful Bunny and Cross Knit boot slippers I came across when I nipped into Tesco the other day. Our house is cold, really cold. And even though I usually like slip on flip flop style slippers, these look amazing. They both feel amazing too, so soft and comfy. They also have a solid sole, which is a must for me and my silly feet! I actually ended up getting the rabbit ones as you can see from my pic… but it was a tough choice to make!
Disney Nightmare before Christmas Slippers
I saw these Nightmare Before Christmas slippers when I was in the Disney store a few weeks ago, and while technically they are in the ‘mens’ section they are too amazing not to mention. Of course if you, or a your partner have small feet you are screwed but the small size will fit me easily (7-8) and they look ace! Definitely one for any Jack or Oogie Boogie fan!
Next Rust Fox Slippers
These fox slippers are just the cutest. I usually steer clear of this kind of slipper as the style reminds me of something that my Nana would wear. However Next have done such a good job on hiding the shape of the slipper behind a cute face of a fox that I don’t care! I want them!
Joules Dachshund Mule Slippers
I don’t normally pay more than £10-15 for a pair of slippers. But Dachshunds are my kryptonite and I need these slippers in my life! look at that dog! And his pilot goggles! Joules, why do you torture me so with your beautiful clothes at such expensive prices!
Debenhams Reindeer Mule Slipons
I love getting into the festive spirit and to be honest, if I wasn’t so desperate to get some new slippers, I probably would have tried to find some to match Spike’s new pair (also in the pic, from Tesco!). This fantastic pair of Reindeer slip-ons from Debenhams would have been perfect don’t you think!
